Greetings and thank you for stopping by this little corner of the Web.
I started this blog as a way to track my research in finding gluten free comunion options, including my own baking and recipe creating while attending seminary. While I will continue to update as I find great new options or recipes, I do not post often because after creating this bread recipe, Gluten Free Communion Bread Recipe: Allergen Friendly, Easy and Tastes great too, I am consistently happy with it and have not had a reason to embark on another great recipe creation project.
I know of at least one church that is currently using this as their only communion bread. They bake it once a month and freeze what they don’t use that Sunday and take it out as needed, and it is working very well. I would love to hear your own experience with this bread or other gluten free and allergy sensitive communion options. If you have comments or questions about the recipe, please comment on the recipe itself.
I am currently working as a hospice chaplain (with St. Croix Hospice) in northwest Iowa. I am rostered as a Deacon in the Western Iowa synod of the ELCA.
The best way to reach me is through commenting on this blog. I love hearing about experiences with the recipes on this blog and about gluten free communion in general. I LOVE hearing and experiencing *everyone* loving this bread when it served and everyone being able to partake in the same loaf!
